UPDATE: the 27th looks like our trip start date
PLEASE ALLOW FOR +-1 DAY FLEXIBILITY TO MAYBE CATCH A GOOD WEATHER WINDOW
For those unfortunate enough to be stuck in this beautiful part of the world over the Christmas holidays, join me to head up a hill (Seymour or Cypress, TBC) and spend the night in a freshly built snow shelter. I tend to like snow caves more, but I'm open to any kind of structure.
I have built both caves and igloos before, although haven't had the chance to spend the whole night in them. I'm still a rookie snow craftsman. This trip will be excellent for those who want to brush up existing theoretical knowledge and practice their snow craft. I will provide notes with very useful information.
Turns possible depending on conditions.
Theoretical limit of 8 for the trip, although the more people come, the more shelters we will build and maybe do a little competition ;) Expect architectural finishes, candles/cosy lighting, warm wine and powerful statements with your structure.
DISCLAIMER:
I'm an amateur outdoor aficionado and this is in no way an instructional course: we will form a lovely team of people who share the same passion for the outdoors and practice all together and learn from each other. Join at your own risk.
