I have put this trip on the schedule far in advance in case anyone is really interested and needs to book holiday time. There are three creeks to cross near the beginning of the hike (Job Creek, Mosaic Creek). I am not absolutely sure that they will be fordable in early Sept and I won’t know for sure until I recce them in mid August. If they are not safely fordable the trip will change to the Athelney Pass area with Ethelweard and Icemaker being the chief objectives.

Manatee should be doable in 4 days. I have made the trip 5 days in case we are slower than anticipated, or need to wait out a day of bad weather. If we are fast and it is feasible we would also attempt something else in the area (Wahoo Tower by the easy route, etc.).

Either trip involves glacier travel and all participants will require a picket/fluke, ice screw, two pulleys, prusiks; and some crevasse rescue practice.

Given that participants would probably book holiday time to do this, if the weather was terrible I’ll have an alternative somewhere drier.
