The temperatures are finally starting to go down :) so there should be some decent snow up there.
Monday has a relatively good weather and the snow that will have fallen from Saturday night onward should be cold and hopefully good.
There are no avalanche forecasts yet, and there could be a fair amount of new snow, so please do your research on the current conditions, snowpack, etc and bring your knowledge and experience to assess conditions as a group.
Plan is to drive to the end of the road, then there is a very short walk to the snow, followed by a skin up. What we will ski will depend on our evaluation, the visibility and I plan to use a conservative approach.
If this is your first trip of the season, make sure you test your beacon, batteries, bindings, skins, etc before coming.
***** What to bring:
- Beacon, shovel, probe
- Headlamp: I do not plan on coming back at night, but days are short these days
- Clothes to stay in the snow the whole day
- Extra clothes and space blanket as safety
- Food and water
- A little first aid kit
