As this is an official BCMC trip and we'll be following all the rules (members only, no venturing into the Britannia watershed), we have use of the gate key.

I have third-hand info that the two washouts from earlier this year on the Furry Creek Main have been cleared.  Hopefully this means driving right to the Cyrtina Creek parking spot, but be prepared for some road walking.  From Cyrtina Creek its about 7km and 700m elevation gain to the hut.

General plan is to go up all the Ben peaks (as named in bivouac), weather, snow, and enthusiasm permitting.  Emphasis will be on safety and fun, summiting is a lower priority.  Each day will have about 10km, 1000m elevation gain, 6-9 hours of hiking/snowshoeing and a small amount of mild to moderate scrambling.

Friday - 8am depart from Vancouver or 8:20 from St Davids.  Hike up to the hut.  If there's time, explore ridge above Condor Lake, going up Ben Vorlich and Ben Avon.
Saturday - Ridge ramble around Mountain Lake to the other Bens, Lui and More, potentially Red if we want to break our Ben peak streak.
Sunday - hike out, go up Ben Lomond on the way, dinner in Squamish if group is willing.

Please familiarize yourself with the area to the extent possible.  This is a rain or shine trip so sign up only if you are 100% committed.  The hut sleeps 4 comfortably but has no stove.  Be prepared for winter conditions.

Please also note that I generally hike at the faster end of moderate, but prefer folks to stick together, so depending on the pace of the group, slower people may have to speed up a little and faster people may have to keep themselves in check.
