The MEC Snowfest Vancouver will once again be home to the MEC Gear Swap.  The Gear Swap will be a flea market style, not consignment, whereby MEC rents tables to members to sell their own gear.  This has been a very popular event and should be a great place to find good deals on snowsports related gear.  The type of gear you will find includes snowsports gear (skis, boards, boots, bindings, poles, etc), as well as winter-relevant packs, tents, sleeping bags, optics items, and clothing.  Often many of the items you find will have been gently used... but occasionally you'll find some items that will need repair work (at your own cost).  Expect all items to be clearly marked.  Some gear will come from MEC's warranted/returned items, with some other gear from among retired rental items. 

MEC Snowfest organizers recommend arriving early to increase your chances of finding the best deals!  Of course the gear selection will be dependant on what is available at the time - there is no guarantee that specific items will be available.
