Spearhead Hut Joint Hiking/Camping and Site Visit with the ACC

The dates for the Russet Lake site visit have been set…. Friday to Sunday Aug 5-7. Some of us may stay a couple of days longer, if required.  

We’ll take the lift up Whistler and hike over the Musical Bumps to camp at the lake. The plan is to stake out the hut, fine-tune its location, and then dig two to four 1m deep test pits, so the geotechnical engineer can assess the soil. We’ll be reviewing the location for the greywater dispersion field also. There may be one helicopter flight in/out with tools and folks who really can’t walk in (Lil’wat archaeologist, etc).

We need lots of people to do the digging by hand, so please consider coming and please spread the word.
