Day 1: We'll use new bridge and hike through East Canyon Trail to emergency shelter at 1400m and camp somewhere around it. There should be plenty of snow so water will not be a problem. In the evening ascent Golden Ears watch sunset and then fireworks from 10pm to 10:25pm. After this hike back to the camp. For fireworks information see here.

Day 2: sleep :) and then hike back.

Note the hike is described in Matt's Gunn book on page 236 but we will use different approach though the new bridge that connects east and west trails along Gold Creek.
