The Sulphide Glacier is the easiest route up Mount Shuksan as well as the most popular on the mountain. It requires glacier travel and has an exposed scramble near the end of the climb.
Saturday, July 23 - Cross border, obtain backcountry permit at Mt. Baker Ranger District office in Sedro - Wolley, WA. Head to Shannon Ridge Trailhead. Hike up and set up camp on Sulphide Glacier (approx. 2000m).
Sunday, July 24 - Early start, cross the glacier to the Summit Pyramid. The standard route to the summit is via the class 3/4 gully. Rappel off the summit, pack up camp, hike back to trailhead.
