Tomorrow will be nice and sunny and it would be lovely to go for a tour on the local mountains that have been so heavily loaded recently. Snow quality will be medium (it is heavy), but at least coverage is plentiful, the storm snow has mostly consolidated (avy forecast: moderate) and it will be gorgeous.
I am flexible with time and location so if you would prefer going to Seymour or other near-by destination instead or if you can't start that early, e-mail me or call me and we can discuss.
I usually don't tour on the local mountains, so beyond going to the top of Hollyburn, I don't know the terrain much at all. If you do and have suggestions of longer options, this is great. If not, I am happy to explore. We can make it a very quick lap or a much longer afternoon depending on interest.
Necessary:
- AST1 or higher
- Shovel, probe, beacon
Would also be great:
- Map
- GPS
