Plan
A Ski trip to Mt Shuksan in Washington State. Either the Sulfide Glacier route from the south or the White Salmon from the north.
Signup
This trip is not for beginners. Hopefully you have been on similar multiday skiing trips and have avalanche training or comparable experience.
We will be making conservative decisions and limiting ourselves to what everyone is comfortable with.
Gear and Food and Expenses
All backcountry skiing equipment including skins, touring skis/boots, avalanche beacon, probe, shovel, ice axe, ski crampons, and all camping equipment. I will be bringing a good topo map and satellite phone for emergency use. Everyone will be responsible for their own food and we will share stoves, fuel, and tents in pairs. Harness and glacier travel gear are required. We may need to buy lift passes, and there will be gas and other expenses.
Conditions and Weather
This trip will only go if weather is good and the avalanche bulletin is at moderate or low. Otherwise it will be rescheduled.
