The game plan is to ascend the the Gibson Pass ski area in the finest French style ( on the chairlift).$10

depending on the group and conditions  we will head west or  east down the ridge.

id like to skin for a couple hours max and then make camp.

allowing for at least one run.

sunday we can blast a couple more short runs and head out.The terrain is relatively moderate and suited to intermediate or better skiers .however some slopes pose significant risk in terms of avalanche and terrain traps.( we"ll be making every effort to avoid these slopes.most skiing will be short gladed runs 25 degrees or less.

Safety is critical ,as such we will be digging pits as required.

Risk assessment will be based on a group decision

the trip will culminate with dinner in Hope.

Warm après ski clothes recommended as well as hot shots and a sleeping bag rated for -10 c or better
