This will be the first volunteers' meeting for those interested in making the BCMC Summer Camp 2016 happen!
In this meeting, I'd like to address the following:
- brainstorm basic goals, the overarching to do list, and loose timelines
- roles and establishing sub-committees, as necessary
- volunteers' availability with respect to time commitments and future meetings
- homework and dividing tasks between this meeting and the next one
Please bring a notebook and writing instrument (or computer/tablet if you're more of a digital kind of person), a positive attitude, and your ideas. I'll bring a whiteboard and some coloured markers for group brainstorming purposes.
Prior to this meeting, please think about the following:
- what sort of role you would prefer to play in volunteering
- your availability and schedule constraints between now and the Camp
- ideas for a location for the Camp
- similar camps/events you've been to in the past and what you liked/didn't like about them
Let's start the meeting at 6pm sharp (better yet if you show up at 5:45pm for meet-and-greet) downstairs in the bar of the Anza Club. If it's noisy or crazy in there, we can always move. There is a "How to Add/Manage Trips Online" session happening at the same time upstairs, so we'll try not to get mixed up. We'll end the meeting around 7pm in time for the March Social upstairs.
