Full disclaimer: I'm a very new ice climber. I'm looking to get together with some other enthusiasts to practice ice climbing skills! All levels are welcome, so long as you can safely belay.
Plans are still tentative and are dependent on ice/weather/avvy conditions, but I'm thinking it'll look something like this:
Friday March 4: drive up to Lillooet after work and camp the night
Saturday March 5: head to Marble Canyon for some top roping (leading optional)
Sunday March 6: practice some easy leading (or top roping) at Rambles
If folks are interested, we could go in on a cheap motel, or we could just camp at Marble Canyon. TBD based on participants' preferences.
This is not an ice climbing course! You must be able to safely belay, and provide your own gear. There are ice tools for rent through the club if you don't have any (see this page: https://bcmc.ca/club_equipment.php).
