Jan 12th BCMC Social: Meandering Through Beauty - A Ski Trip to Mt. LoganIn May 2015, BCMC Member Margaret Hanson and four friends spent 18 days skiing from the base of the King's Trench climbing route on Mt. Logan to the Icefield Discovery Camp near Mt. Queen Mary. Mt. Logan, the tallest mountain in Canada and the second tallest in North America at 5959m, is the most massive mountain in the world as measured by its circumference.
After permitting issues ruled out a circumnavigation of Mt. Logan, the objective of the group, whose members ranged in age from 51 to 70, changed to simply enjoying the beauty of the St. Elias Range and spending some time on their skis. Join us on January 12th as Margaret shares photos and stories from Mt. Logan.
Everyone is welcome [1] ... visitors, members and guests. The meeting will take place at the Vancouver ANZA Club main floor (corner of 8th Ave and Ontario) on Tuesday January 12th 2016. The entrance door opens shortly after 7pm and the meeting begins at 7:30pm. [1] Note: you must be 19+ years old to attend and may be asked to sign-in at the door to ensure we don't exceed 135 people in the hall.
