Drive up to the snow (1000 m?) and skin to the ridge (1700 m), about 3 hrs skinning. Ski the east slopes (few trees). If all goes well we would be yoyo-ing for up to 4 hrs until about 3 pm. Allow about 1 hour to ski back down and be at the vehicle(s) just as it gets dark. A bit more skiing than last weekend, and we would (hopefully) save time not putting on chains.
Skiing will be at a moderate pace. Weather forecast: snowing and freezing level at 1000 m. I am hoping for up to 30 cm of fresh snow at treeline.
I can only take myself and one passenger in my small truck. Maximum participants is 2 unless one of you can bring a 4wd high clearance vehicle.
