Come join this 20 hour Wilderness and Remote First Aid course exclusively for BCMC members. The course will be taught by Spiritus Training (check them out here: http://spiritustraining.com/)
Course content:
- 3 year certification in Wilderness and Remote First Aid (WRFA)
- CPR Level C
- AED certification
We are still ironing out the exact details and times but the following schedule should be accurate.
Timeline:
Friday, February 26: evening indoor session in Coquitlam to go over some theory
Saturday, February 27: full day session outdoors + optional dinner and "bonus" evening session
Sunday, February 28: full day session outdoors
Course fee:
$200 + tax = $210 per person (regular $250 + tax)
Registration process:
1) after you've register online your name will automatically be added to the "Waiting List", which will give you access to the PayPal *Pay Now*button so you can pay the course fee online. Please do so ASAP, thank you.
2) after your payment has been confirmed by PayPal, the organizer will move your name to the "Confirmed List" and a email will be sent informing you've been confirmed to attend the course.
Trip Organizer & Volunteer Instructor Incentive Program: if you've volunteered your time as either:
a) Trip Organizer with 4 or more outdoor trips in the past 12 months, you may apply for a 25% rebate off the course fee ($50), or
b) Course Instructor (primary volunteer organizer) in the past 12 months, you may apply for a 50% refund off the course fee ($100).
Please email courses@bcmc.ca with your request, along with a list of recent trips and/or course(s) you have been the primary organizer for.
We need a minimum of 8 participants to run this course, so
please sign up before February 8th so we can confirm numbers. If by Feb 8th you've paid (are on the
Confirmed List) and there are less than 8 Confirmed participants, then we will either fill the open spots by allowing non-BCMC members to join the course, or we'll cancel the course and refund your payment fully. Here is a link to our
