Manning Park Ski Tour: Strawberry Flats up to Poland Lake return via Gibson Pass Ski Hill, ~20km Loop
Snow Alert! We toured this area on Monday and found 70 cm at the trailhead, 100+ up top!! More snow the past couple of days with cold and dry conditions.
An easy to moderate backcountry ski tour. We have the option to tag Grassy Mtn and Bojo Mtn depending on time and conditions. Distance is long, and the pace will be friendly with re-grouping, so expect to be back after dark.
This trip is suitable for newer backcountry skiers. Snowshoers welcome. There will be a training component included at key points during the trip to promote Avalanche Awareness.
Mandatory equipment: Avi gear: Transceiver, Probe and Shovel
