5:30 AM Boundary at Dominion Chevron Station
AVI equipment and AST1 or equivalent. Beginner friendly if comfortable w description, but fit and able to carry skis on pack for up to 2 hours each way. Unless you have comfortable ski boots, light hiking boots, with traction devices if desired. Don't forget passport and to prepare smartass answers for grumpy border personnel.
I was there Sunday and the run down off the ridge was fine. Three inches of "powder" on some kind of base. There could be up to another 10-15 inches by tomorrow. The only issue with the crevasses near the bottom of the run is making sure you sight them. They are in plain view, but care is needed in reduced visibility, or if you get too excited on the ride down, forget to look ahead and have to fly over like someone did from another trip. It's possible to ski out to around the climber's camping area, after that if you don't remove your skis, you better have a file and Ptex handy when you get home. That's from first hand experience. Freezing level will be down to about the parking lot tomorrow, so if we get wet it shouldn't be for long.
