• This is a fantastic opportunity to climb some of the majestic peaks of the Cordillera Blanca range of Peru.
• We are flying with Continental Airlines via Houston departing on June 20th and returning on July 22nd. This is the optimal climbing period for this area.
• The climbing is mostly snow/ice mountaineering at altitudes between 5,000m and  7,000m. Primary technical difficulty of the climbs we are planning are up to AD- with some potential for brief sections above this.
• The ideal group size is around 4 to 6 people. Prior mountaineering experience is a must; high altitude experience is preferable. Priority to BCMC members.
• Peru is not very expensive. The budget for this trip is $2,000 per person. Airfare is approximately $1,050 and in-country costs are expected to be around $950 (includes permits, ground transportation, hotels, food, restaurants...).
• The cordillera blanca is a fantastic destination. The scenery is impressive; the local culture is interesting; the weather is dependable; the area is safe; the people are friendly; and the climbing is fun.
• We will be doing 4 to 7 day excursions from our base in Huaraz, a pleasant town to relax in with a full complement of provisions.
• Expect to climb at least 3 - 6,000m peaks on this trip.

Ishinca Valley

• Ishinca - 5,530m - NW Slopes or SW Ridge - PD- 
• Urus Este - 5,420m - SE Slopes to E Ridge - PD-
• Tocllaraju - 6,032m - NW Ridge - AD- (D summit pyramid)

Quilcayhuanca Valley

• Andavise - 5,400? - SW ridge? - PD
• Chinchey - 6,222m - W Face to N Ridge - PD+/AD-

Honda Valley area

• Copa - 6,188m - W Slopes - PD
