UPDATE:  (2015 Sept 17 @ 7:30pm) the trip has been moved back to Tuesday due to changes in the weather forecast. 

Minimum Number:  the minimum number of participants for this event will be "4".  Anything less and the trip will be cancelled.

General Plan:  since the weather forecast for Monday-Tuesday is looking promising, I'm thinking the sport climbing routes should be reasonably dry by Tuesday afternoon.  So our plan will be to climb moderate (5.8-5.10b) sport routes, or harder ones if you can, at the Cheakamus Canyon parking lot climbing area.

Meeting Place:  let's meet at St. David's Church, Hwy#1 & Taylor Way, at 10:30 am... then plan our day so we return to Vancouver around 7:00 pm.  For those needing a ride to the church meeting place, local carpooling can be organized in the "Trip Planning" forum.

Requirements: All participants must bring their own personal climbing gear, incl. harness, belay device, locking biner, climbing shoes and helmet. Also recommended are a PAS (personal anchor system), prussic, sunscreen, water and snacks.

Emergency Info: Please make sure you have added an Emergency Contact to your account profile. On the top right corner of the BCMC website, click on My Account then Edit Your Contact Info on the left hand side, then Private Info, and add the Name and Phone Number of your Emergency Contact. This information is stored privately and only made available to the organizers of trips you choose to attend. 

Medical Issues: Please email/phone the organizer to share any important information, such as allergies or medication that could be vital information to First Aid Responders. Anything you choose to share with the organizer will remain private. 

Cancellation:  We'll check the weather forecast for the Squamish area on the evening before the trip. Anything above 40% PoP and the trip is automatically cancelled unless the trip organizer contacts the group to say otherwise.
