I've listed this as a mountaineering trip, but, it will be hiking for the most part.

Ride sharing can be decided at the church. I'll be bringing a small rope, my harness, and a few slings should anyone feel that they would be needed. I do not expect that anything more than a class 3 scramble will be encountered, but, want to be prepared. So if you want, bring your own harness if you feel concerned about any of the climbs. That being said. The purpose of this trip is to explore the mountains around the lake; the main destination of the weekend being Washburn Peak at the south end of the local mountain group. The only write up I can find about this peak says that it is a class3 scramble. Once we make camp at the lake the different destinations can be discussed and decisions made as to where people want to go. I can make suggestions for you regarding times and distances.
