Come check out the new access route cleared by BCMC members. On this long day with 1800 meters of vertical gain we will cross the newly constructed Paranoid Creek footbridge to access the old Darling Lake trail. The trail climbs to a ridge above Darling Lake which we will follow to Darling Peak. There may be a short section of glacier travel near the summit so you will require crampons, harness, ice axe and glacier gear. The glaciated section will be relatively short and not difficult so it is suitable for people wishing to advance their glacier travel experience. It may be a longish day but we will start early.
If someone joins the trip but finds it too strenuous enroute, bring enough clothes that you can wait along the ridge for the rest of the party to complete the climb.
