5:30PM, parking lot at 5:30PM, Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve
We will go to Sulley's Hangout, instead of Squamish this Wednesday.
Cancellation due to Weather: If PoP on Environment Canada's website (http://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-74_metric_e.html) remain over 40% on Wednesday morning, the trip is cancelled. As long as PoP is 40% or lower, the trip is on. If weather is not good for outdoor climbing, I will be going to Cliffhanger Vancouver.
While I'm sure the more experienced climbers will be happy to share their knowledge, this is not a climbing course. Every participant must be able to belay and is expected to have some top roping experience (indoors or outdoors). We will find an area with a variety of grades that match the participants' preference.
Meeting: 5:30PM, Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (a.k.a. the "Demonstration Forest") parking lot
I'm leaving Downtown Vancouver at 4:30pm, and have room for two people. Post in the forum if you need a ride, and I will organize carpooling.
We climb until sunset
All participants must bring their personal climbing gear (harness, belay device, locking biner, climbing shoes) and a headlamp (we may be returning to the parking lot after dark). Also highly recommended is a helmet, prussik for rappelling, water, and snacks.
Ropes & anchor material for this event are provided by participants and not by the club. If you have a full strength climbing rope and anchor material, please do bring it.
