I'm hoping there will be a little bit of snow to ski on, but mostly I'm just looking to get out and enjoy the mountains and whatever they have to offer this weekend! I'll be following the trip as described in John Baldwin's book "Exploring the Coast Mountains on Skis". I believe it's page 201. 

I'm a brand new skier (i.e. I've only been skiing once) so I figured I'd check out this low-angle terrain and get to know my skis a little bit better. If there isn't a whole lot of snow, I'll be bringing my hiking boots for a little trek around. That said, let's stay optimistic and bring the following:

- Your touring ski setup including boots, skis, skins, poles
- Clothing to stay warm, dry, cool, for whatever the weather gives us
- Avvy gear (and the know-how to use it) including beacon, probe, shovel
- Food and drink for the day
- GPS and/or spot (if you have)

I said it before, but I'll say it again. I'm a new skier. This means I'll probably be moving pretty slowly and cautiously on the way down. I have mountaineering experience, so I feel that if the going gets too tough, I can always safely boot pack down. I'll expect the same from you :-) 

Priorities for this trip are, in order:
1. Staying safe
2. Having fun
3. Getting some sweet turns in
