ANZA Club at 8th and Ontario in Vancouver
Join us as a Forecaster/AST Instructor from Avalanche Canada presents human factors in avalanche terrain management and accidents. The presentation will be focused around two recent, serious accidents that have been turned into case studies by Avalanche Canada.
Peter was born and raised in North Vancouver and learned how to ski on the slopes of Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain. He previously worked as the Ski Patrol Director on Grouse Mountain. Peter has worked as an avalanche forecaster at Avalanche Canada since 2008 and currently works from AC’s small North Shore office. Peter is an AST provider and instructor and also teaches several professional avalanche courses for the Canadian Avalanche Association.
