I have heard that arguably the best way to get over a hangover is to powder ski.  Come and see if that's true!

The plan will be to access the Blackcomb backcountry at the East Col, ski some steep routes and upload via the seventh heaven chair or the Crystal Chair. 

Possible routes include: DOA, Husume, Stairmaster. Basically anything within slackcountry distance of the East Col.  If the conditions are appropriate we will consider skiing black diamond terrain so please consider your skiing ability when joining this trip.  See the 2nd edition Baldwin Whistler Blackcomb map for route info.

You will need a pass to upload on the lifts.  Backcountry passes cannot be used on this trip as they will not allow multiple uploads with the new RFID ticket system.  You will therefore need either a Day Pass, EDGE Card or Seasons Pass.

ALL participants MUST have the following equipment:

Beacon, Probe & Shovel

AST-1 or higher training

AT/telemark ski or splitboard setup (including skins)

Headlamp

Appropriate clothing for being out in the elements all day

Enough food and water to remain on the move for most of the day

(trip organizer will carry the following items: first aid kit, GPS/Compass/Map)

This will involve a long day, with the potential for some objective dangers. Trip will only "go" with a decent weather forecast.

Please consider NOT seeking to jhis trip unless you have conducted your own research into the route, and compared that with your own experience, fitness level and skill.
