Plan:

Meet in West Canyon parking lot at Golden Ears Park on Saturday, hike up to shelter and camp for the night. On Sunday we will wake up nice and early and head up to Golden Ears peak, then begin the traverse to Edge, and finally Blanchard Needle and then down again via Evan's Peak. Dinner in Maple Ridge.

Expect a longish day, lots of exposure and lots of vegetation. If the weather forecast is hot, also expect to need lots of water.

Potential alternate plans:

We could also drive to the lot on Friday night, catch a few hours of sleep and then start around midnight and attempt the route in 1 day, or we could do the same on Saturday/Sunday. This would be less desirable though, and probably only a last resort in case of bad weather.
