Trip cancelled - between the considerable hazard rating, and the special bulletin, I'm a little spooked by the conditions right now. I feel like we could either have a really mellow day in low angle trees and play it really safe, or hit the resort and hopefully still find some great snow left over in steeper terrain and have a bit more of an exciting day. We'll then have the benefit of coming back to read trip reports to see how others who do hit the backcountry fared and what they observed.
