Trip Description

Nequatque Mountain ascent up the West Rib.

Depart Vancouver in the evening on May 24th and car camp. Ascent and return on Saturday May 25th.

Trip limited to three and will be appropriately expanded as additional drivers sign up.

Email trip organizer with questions.

Don't sign up unless you plan on attending.

BCMC Nequatque Email #3

The trip organizer has sent the following message to those interested in the trip: Nequatque Mountain

Due to problems with the BCMC website email system, I have moved up my no go call to now.

I sent out email #2 at around 8:30 Wednesday morning and it did not arrive in my own gmail inbox until 12:30 am on Thursday. Thus in an effort to keep all informed in a timely manner I am making the call based on the 05:00 Environment Canada weather forecast.

Surprisingly the forecast for Saturday remains at: Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Which means that we would probably be in cloud on the mountain and wet to some degree.

Thus I have decided to cancel the trip and may repost it at a later date.

Planned meeting time on Friday is at 19:00 at St. Davids Church. Please notify me if this does not work for you.
Weather is not looking good at this point. Currently 60% chance of showers in the area for Saturday.
Showers combined with the probability of low cloud are enough for me to say that unless conditions improve, the trip will be cancelled.
Final decision will be made after the 17:00 Environment Canada weather forecast on Thursday.
