Evans Peak is a steep 1000m peak in Golden Ears Provincial Park. It is a great little workout, with a little technical difficulty and nice views.
The plan will be to meet at the park as soon as the gate opens (8 am), drive to the west canyon parking lot (same trailhead as trail to Golden Ears). Hike up Evans-Allouette Col, and if conditions are good (I suspect they will be), climb up to the summit.
Required equipment: Ice ax, crampons, gaiters
Recommended equipment: helmet
Experience in using an ice ax, and self arresting are mandatory.
