4:30pm at corner King Ed and Cambie
Leave Friday afternoon after work -- 5 hr drive. Return Sunday evening. Transportation costs for participants will be as per BCMC guidelines.
Camping is free near the crags. Bring a tent, warm sleeping bag & mat (cold nights, warm days), stove, etc. Be ready for potentially some strong winds. I'm not sure what the situation will be like for toilets, but some years there haven't been porta-potties on-site, which can result in some messiness! We will stop on the way in Ellensburg to shop for fresh veggies, meat, beer, etc.
Gear required: helmet, harness, belay device, shoes, etc. Bring a rope if you have one and a rack if you plan on leading. Note that many of the climbs are bolted sport climbs, so unless you know that you want to do some trad climbs, you can leave your trad gear at home.
Vantage is in Washington State, therefore you need to ensure that you have all the required paperwork to get into the US by car, and to return to Canada.
