Last month I figured out an improved route for the middle portion of the Hanging Lake trail that avoids the steepest parts of the climb and has less exposure to avalanche terrain.  The reroute has been roughly flagged.

The main objective for this trip is to hang trail markers along the improved route.  The new section of trail is 800m long.  We can also do some branch pruning and flag trees for later removal in the summer (to be cut off with a chainsaw at ground level)
