Trip Description

Everyone is welcome... visitors, members and guests.  The meeting will take place at the Vancouver ANZA Club main floor (corner of 8th Ave and Ontario) on Tuesday March 12th. The entrance door opens shortly after 7pm and the meeting begins at 7:30pm.

For well over a year, Cathy Ross has been volunteering with B.C. Parks under the supervision of Senior Ranger Katy Chambers. During this time, she has passionately organized and gathered various material related to the history of Garibaldi Park. Cathy believes in 'honouring the past to inspire the future' and feels that Garibaldi Provincial Park is an important cultural landscape that is of significant historical value. The geology of Garibaldi Park combined with diverse human interactions has created a history that reflects great achievements and defining moments. The past historical events of Garibaldi Park clearly illustrate the values and identity of the people of British Columbia.
