CANCELLED DUE TO AVI CONDITIONS.  WILL HOPEFULLY BE RESCHEDULED IN A COUPLE WEEKS

A reasonably lengthy ski tour from the Mt. Baker ski area along Ptarmigan Ridge to Coleman Pinnacle.  Expect around 16km of touring, with approximately 1100m total elevation gain.

The primary objective is to tour the length of Ptarmigan Ridge, but as long as conditions permit and trip participants feel up for it, we will attempt to climb Coleman Pinnacle at the end of the ridge, which can reportedly be climbed in ski boots with an ice axe.

Note that this trip takes place in the US and so all participants are required to possess a valid passport and have no problems entering the states.  We will leave early in the morning to escape any border lineups, and because it is still a 75 minute drive to the parking area from the Sumas border crossing.

• All participants must be a competent skiier or boarder
• Participants must have taken AST-1 (or equivalent)
• Participants must have a Probe, Beacon, and Shovel and know how to use them
• Participants must have a valid passport and be permitted to enter the USA.
