I need to move this trip a week earlier as I just booked a week's holiday starting April 24. 

It is a long drive from Vancouver - about 3 to 4 hours.   The trip will be reasonably strenuous so you will need to have experience in backcountry skiing.  We will be stopping in Pemberton for dinner after the trip and will not return to Vancouver until after 9pm.  (Hopefully before midnight).

If the weather forecast was for very good that weekend I would be tempted to switch the trip to a 2 day trip across the Neve as it is a great trip and a classic.
