From bivouac.com:
Hike for 2 hours through mostly pleasant forest to meadows and then 2 hours up open meadow to Blanca Lake.
Blanca Lake is the largest of a cluster of beautiful clear lakes surrounded by meadows and rocky granite ridges. The area is ideal for rambling. Blanca lake is about 2 km long and 400m across, and has an island in the center. It is surrounded by granite cliffs on its western side. The southern end is a good campspot, only free of snow in August and September. A small pond just to the south of the main outlet is swimable in August or September.
