Hiking to the lake, further get on the snow and travel to the foot of Wedge North Arete. Gear: regular hiking + optional: gaters + ice axe. There will be no immediate glacier travel, however good view will be provided. Beginners will get an idea about glacier travel and alpine climbing. Don't forget camera.

Description: A fairly large glacial lake, below the Wedge glacier. In the 1970's the glacier used to calf off huge chunks of ice right into the lake, but that is long gone.
