This is a reasonably strenuous one-day trip up Ipsoot Mountain. We will approach from Rutherford Creek FSR. There are two possible approaches - from the southeast or southwest. The SE is the preferred approach but the snowline is crucial. Better throw in some hiking boots in case we need to walk a short distance to snowline.
If for some reason neither approach is suitable there is plenty of good skiing off Appa Glacier. The road can be driven right now to Km 13, according to reports, which is a couple of km from the access route to the glacier.
Bring ice axe, prussiks and harness for glacier rescue. Hopefully, it will not be required. I've got a short 9 mm rope. Perhaps someone else can bring one or two more short ropes although I don't anticipate skiing roped up.
Probably meeting at 6:30 AM on Saturday at St David's Church (in the parking lot at the back).
