Camp Cancelled due to lack of participants.

 

From car camp along the Hole-in-the-Rock Road, we'll explore a cherry-picked selection of the best this amazing area has to offer.

Location: Hole-in-the-Rock Road runs south from Hwy 12 to Lake Powell, just east of the town of  Escalante in southern Utah.
 
Rating: A-C, class 2-5 ie. casual strolls in the desert to technical canyoneering. A good introduction to moderate desert canyons.
 
Driving times:
  • 24hrs from Vancouver
  • 7hrs from Salt Lake City
  • 6 hrs from Las Vegas
 
Vehicles:
  • 4x4 or high clearance 2WD
  • Rentals in Las Vegas or Salt Lake City
  • Car pooling via the BC Mountaineering forum
 
Deposit: a $50 refundable deposit is required
